Police were called to a Carden St. building for a report of a man possessing a taser on Monday night, but once they searched him they found a spring-assist knife, a prohibited weapon.

Guelph Police, who arrived on-scene around 9:20 p.m., arrested the 32-year-old was charged with possession counts and dual counts of breach probation and will appear in court come July.

Police also cited four arrests on warrant.

A 44-year-old Guelph man was arrested on a warrant for break a d enter and breach probation. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Another Guelph man, also 44, arrested on a warrant for three counts of fraud under, obstruct police and escape lawful custody. He will appear in court on July 9.

A 28-year-old Guelph woman arrested on a warrant for fail to re-attend court. She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 29-year-old Guelph woman arrested on four warrants. She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The Fire Department is investigating after a fire struck in Elizabeth St. early on Tuesday morning.
