A 16-year-old male entered into a dispute with staff members at a local youth shelter.
The dispute escalated and resulted in the youth threatening the staff both verbally and with a folding knife.
Police located the male a short distance away from shelter, however he falsely identified himself to officers, a police press release said.
He was subsequently arrested for Obstruct Police, carrying a concealed weapon, having a dangerous weapon, assault with a weapon and a breach of probation times three.
The accused will appear in Bail Court on June 27.
