In the last 24 hours, the Guelph Police Service responded to eight thefts of motor vehicles across the city, police said on Tuesday morning.

Police said they would like to remind that public that although police conduct routine patrol in all neighbourhoods, the easiest way to prevent a theft from your vehicle is to lock the doors at all times, and to not leave anything inside the vehicle in plain sight.

Thefts from vehicles where there is no damage incurred can also be reported online, at the Guelph Police Service website.
