A 24-year-old man on his bicycle was hit by a vehicle on Thursday evening in the area of Clair Rd. East and Samuel Dr., and the driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for failing to yield to traffic.

Police were called to the scene at approximately 7:52 p.m. and the cyclist was transported to the Guelph General Hospital for minor injuries, a press release posted on Friday morning added.

Also on Thursday, a 33-year-old female was arrested on the strength of a warrant for failing to re-attend court in April for outstanding charges of theft under $5,000, dual breach probation charges, possession of stolen property and more.

Guelph Police located her in the downtown area where she was arrested and further held for a bail hearing at the service headquarters.
