A car was driving at such a velocity in Guelph’s east end that after it broke off the bottom end of a telephone pole, it rolled over on the front lawn of a residence on Victoria Rd. on Sunday.

The photo of the crash was shared by a user on Reddit, who explained that the vehicle took out a telephone pole in front of the nearby Domino’s Pizza before rolling on the residence.

Police later said that the 21-year-old driver and a passenger “miraculously” sustained no injuries. No one from inside the house was injured.

Police gave more details on Monday morning, saying that at around 6:50 p.m., a white Hyundai Genesis was headed southbound, sheared the pole off and “became airborne” before flipping onto the property.

Police believe speed was a factor and the investigation is ongoing. The total damages are estimated at $300,000, Guelph Police said in a press release.
