The Canadian Mental Health Association says that every member of the community has a role to play in “promoting life and preventing suicide”, and will be bringing a free-to-attend session to Guelph for the public to learn more.

The association invites those interested to “join us for an open conversation about understanding suicide, signs of distress and help seeking, and have the opportunity to ask questions” at the Italian Canadian Club from 6 p.m. to 7:30 pm. on June 27.

Three sessions, facilitated by suicide prevention project lead Cecilia Marie Roberts, will be taking place in Guelph, Mount Forest and Kitchener-Waterloo and focus around introducing the new Wellington Framework for Promoting Life and Preventing Suicide.
