Police on proactive patrol on Friday evening came across a suspicious vehicle and, after approaching the car, found that the driver was not the owner and “several different utility tools” without a “reasonable explanation”.
Officers came across the car in the area of Speedvale Ave. West and Edinburgh Rd. North, and said in a press release that when they spoke to the driver, he “confirmed he was neither the registered owner of the vehicle, nor a resident at the address where the vehicle was parked.”
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the driver was bound by a recognizance not to possess any break in instruments. The 33-year-old Sarnia male was arrested and charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance and two counts of Breach Probation.
He was subsequently held for a bail hearing, Guelph Police said in a press release.
