A thief broke into a portable classroom at a high school on the east side of the city and stole $4,000 worth of computers over the weekend.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police, a press release said on Tuesday. Police did not identify what school it was.
Separately, a 56-year-old Guelph male attended a business on Norfolk Street and allegedly threw a rock through the window of a van parked at that location. The cost of the damage is estimated at $400.
The male was arrested in the area a short time later by police and will appear in court on Aug. 9 to face charges of Breach of Probation and Mischief Under $5,000.
Hit and run
At approximately 8:50 a.m. on Monday, a 60-year-old Guelph man reported that he was involved in a collision with a yellow Suzuki motorcycle on Auden Road.
The motor cyclist fled the scene prior to police arrival and was located several hours later and arrested. He was taken to hospital for treatment of a shoulder injury as a result of the crash.
