Thursday evening is a busy one for local politics.

The Conservative Party nomination, Green New Deal Town Hall and a Ward 6 town hall are all taking place around the same times.

Those interested in going to the Tory nomination will need to be party members to vote between the two nominees. It starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Scottsdale Dr. Holiday Inn.

The Green New Deal town hall starts at 7 p.m. inside the Italian Canadian Club east of downtown — described as “a homegrown effort to envision and manifest a better future for our city, our country and our planet”.

Couns. Mark MacKinnon and Dominique O’Rourke are hosting a town hall from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Clair Road Emergency Services to talk a broad range of topics including Clair-Maltby development.

The Conservative Party result will be covered live by The Post and there will also be reporting from the Green New Deal town hall.
