The description from police was almost movie-like and it’s the warning parents and guardians give all the time.
An 11-year-old boy, walking alone on Auden Road north of Grange St. was approached by a man in a white work style van on Tuesday.
At around 4 p.m., the van stopped near the preteen, the window was rolled down and the driver motioned for him to come over to the vehicle.
In an example of what every child is taught to do, the boy ignored the man and went to tell an adult. He described the driver as having “Eastern Indian descent” and wearing a blue turban.
Guelph Police seek to speak to the man and anyone with information is asked to contact the service, according to a press release on Wednesday morning.
