Guelph’s downtown Market Square will be turning into “Raptors Square” on Friday night for Game 4 of the NBA finals due to a partnership between the city and an unnamed business partner or partners.

Mayor Cam Guthrie posted a video explaining what to expect for Friday night. He said that Carden St. will close down starting at 6 p.m. for the set-up to begin.

Though the game starts at 9 p.m., Guthrie suggests that people get there “early enough to get a spot” and to bring lawn chairs.

There will spots for donations to the food bank, Hope House and other organizations that seek food for those in need. Cash can be donated as well.

“The atmosphere will be great,” the mayor added. The Weather Network states that it will be above 20 degrees Celsius for heading into the evening.
