On Tuesday at approximately 9:30 p.m., Guelph Police Drug Unit arrested a male and a female in a vehicle in the parking lot of a motel on Woodlawn Road West.

A backpackcontaining 261.36 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, 12.86 grams of Green Fentanyl, 1.5 grams of Crack Cocaine and $650 in cash was seized.

A 34-year-old Guelph male and a 29-year-old Guelph female will face three charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the male is further charged with Breach of Probation. 

The two will appear in bail court on Wednesday, police said in a press release.

Green fentanyl is similar in appearance to cannabis and Guelph Police said they would like to remind the public of the dangers of this drug.
