It’s not spring yet, and a push of cold, arctic air will make today feel more like February.

The region will experience a mix of cloudy and sunny periods today, with a 40 per cent chance of snow flurries starting late morning and into the early afternoon.  Expect a high of only -8C and when you add in the windchill factor, it will feel more like -25C in the morning and rising to only -15C by the mid afternoon.

The UV index sits at 4, or moderate, and there is a risk of frostbite.

The cloudy weather will increase overnight, with steady winds.  Tonight’s low of -17C  will feel like -27C with the windchill.  The region will continue to experience lower-than-average temperatures through the week until Thursday.
